In Acorns players compete to try to get the most acorns for winter. Each player can play a card from their hand on their turn. If they play a tree, they will receive the acorns on it at the beginning of their next turn. That is, unless some pesky squirrels try to steal it. The player with the most squirrels when it is their turn can take home the acorns.

Foxes and turtles also come into play as players compete to best the others.
